Research on steel, concrete and corrosion under environmental conditions, ageing of metal surfaces, ageing of coatings and lacquers, research on alloys.

Corrosion is one of most prominent phenomena dealing with the ageing of materials. In many brachnes of industry and science corrosion affects a huge variety of applications, for example the moving parts of complicated meachnical systems or the packaging of food.

Understanding the processes occuring under corrosion helps to find new ways of protecting affected materials from loosing both durability and stability due to fast ageing. Attrition will be reduced effectively and, thus, maintenance costs will be minimized significantly.

ZENNIUM X

The ZENNIUM X is a modular electrochemical workstation including a potentiostat / galvanostat  and a frequency response analyzer (FRA) unit with a frequency range up to 12 MHz at ±4 A and at a compliance voltage of up to ±32 V. With an input impedance of more than 10 TΩ || 5 pF the workstation is suitable for a wide range of electrochemical tasks.

ZENNIUM pro

The ZENNIUM pro is a modular electrochemical workstation including a potentiostat / galvanostat  and a frequency response analyzer (FRA) unit with a frequency range up to 8 MHz at ±3 A and at a compliance voltage of up to ±28 V. With an input impedance of more than 10 TΩ || 5 pF the workstation is suitable for a wide range of electrochemical tasks.

ZENNIUM

The ZENNIUM is a modular electrochemical workstation including a potentiostat / galvanostat  and a frequency response analyzer (FRA) unit with a frequency range up to 4 MHz at ±2.5 A and at a compliance voltage of ±14 V. With an input impedance of 1 TΩ || 5 pF the workstation is suitable for a wide range of electrochemical tasks.

ZENNIUM E

The ZENNIUM E is a high-performance electrochemical workstation at a surprising affordable price. Besides a potentiostat / galvanostat it bears a frequency response analyzer unit (FRA) for promoting impedance spectroscopy. It provides high-end features like a frequency range up to 2 MHz, a max. current of ±2.0 A, a controlled voltage of ±12 V and an input impedance of 10 TΩ || 5 pF. The ZENNIUM E is a perfect workstation for a wide range of electrochemical applications with focus on corrosion, coatings and laminates.

Accessories

Noise Probe

The Noise Probe is a low power potentiostat for ZENNIUM electrochemical workstations specially designed for all common electrochemical noise techniques. In addition Zahner developed CorrElNoise®. This revolutionary new method is superior to common ECN techniques by avoiding most of their typical problems.

HiZ Probe

The HiZ probe set is specially designed for high impedance measurements and raise the input impedance up to 1000 TΩ || 1 pF.

RMux

The RMux addon card allows to connect up to 16 electrochemical cells to the ZENNIUM X / ZENNIUM pro / ZENNIUM potentiostat simultaneously.

RMux4

The RMux4 addon card allows to connect up to 4 different electrochemical cells to the ZENNIUM X / ZENNIUM pro / ZENNIUM potentiostat simultaneously.

KMZ3

The corrosion measuring cell KMZ3 is a triple electrode non-water-jacketed cell for standard electrochemical measurements.

KMZ5

The corrosion measuring cell KMZ5 is a triple electrode water-jacket cell for standard electrochemical measurements with a cell container suitable for connection to constant temperature circulators.
