Zahner's potentiostats (ZENNIUM X or ZENNIUM PRO) can be equipped with diverse extension options and can be customized for use in different fields of electrochemistry or photoelectrochemistry/photovoltaics.
up to 200 W
up to 68 kW
Sequential measurements on multiple cells
Photoelectrochemical / photovoltaic measurements
Extensions for dedicated measurements
Cards with additional analog and digital in- & output channels
The ZENNIUM series potentiostats can be extended with power potentiostats (PP-series) for use in medium power applications (up to 200 W). These setups can perform all measurements (DC+AC type) which are possible with the ZENNIUM-series potentiostats.
The ZENNIUM series potentiostats can be extended with the electronic load and can be used for high power applications (up to 1 kW).
The Zahner's electronic loads are one quadrant potentiostats and can only be used as a sink. The electronic loads are designed for measuring clean impedance spectra even at high DC currents.
For electrolysers or state of charge measurements, an external power supply is required. With an external power supply, high power applications (up to 68 kW) are possible.
A ZENNIUM potentiostat can be extended with a PMUX or BC-MUX multiplexer and electrochemical measurements on multiple cells can be carried out sequentially. A script for automizing the measurements at different cells is also possible.
BC-MUX is connected parallel to a battery cycler and can disconnect the battery cycler from the battery and carry out the electrochemical measurement on the battery. After the measurement, the battery is connected back to the battery cycler.
Zahner's CIMPS is an LED-based system which is designed for photoelectrochemical or photovoltaic applications. CIMPS system ensures a controlled light intensity during the measurements with an active light feedback loop. CIMPS system can be used with a wide variety of monochromatic LEDs. The CIMPS system can also be extended for light emission, absorption, transmission or light transient measurements.
Special probes are used for dedicated experiments like high impedance, very low impedances or very low capacitance measurements. These probes mitigate the artefacts common to the above-listed measurements. Probes are also available which extend the operation range of the ZENNIUM series potentiostat like CVB120, FRA-Probe and Noise Probe.
The addon cards introduce additional analog and digital input & output signals to the ZENNIUM potentiostats. For example, a PAD4 card provides 4 additional voltage sense signals which can be used to record voltage during the measurement or a TEMP/U card which is used to measure temperature or voltage during the measurement.
The addon card EPC42 is used to connect ZENNIUM potentiostat with power potentiostats and electronic loads. An EPC42 card can connect up to 4 power potentiostats or electronic loads which can be used sequentially.
