Our Electrochemical Workstations ZENNIUM X / ZENNIUM Pro / ZENNIUM  base on an universal and modular data acquisition system. Together with the THALES software package we offer all standard electrochemical methods at a mouse click.

CIMPS is an universal photo- and spectro-electrochemical workstation for a wide field of applications. You can easily extend the basic CIMPS system with various options for special fields of photo-electrochemical research.

Energy Storage & Conversion

Our power potentiostats, electronic loads and multi-channels acquisition systems provide a smart system for research and investigation on batteries, fuel cells and super caps.

Electrochemical noise has become popular as a new method of corrosion detection and prevention. ZAHNER has developed the CorrElNoise® technique, the first method to obtain both, potential noise and current noise from one electrochemical source.

The XPOT2 is a low power 4-quadrant potentiostat which may be used in connection with the Zennium series potentiostat or as a stand-alone potentiostat. The XPOT provides up to ±500 mA output current at ±25 V compliance voltage.

The XPOT2 potentiostat is controlled by an EPC42 card, a plug-in module for the ZENNIUM-series potentiostats. Due to the built-in microprocessor each EPC42 can address up to four XPOT2 potentiostats. Up to four EPC42 cards can be installed in an ZENNIUM-series workstation. In total, up to 16 XPOT2s can be controlled by one ZENNIUM series potentiostat. Using the XPOT2 allows parallel investigation of different objects. In such multi-cell arrangements, potentiostats which are not addressed, will hold their DC conditions. Each potentiostat will hold the control parameters from one access to the next one, so that no potential or current disturbances can occur while scanning the potentiostats. If series measurements are performed with more than one XPOT2 potentiostat, spectra are taken from all modules in a definable order.

The XPOT2 is embedded completely in the ZENNIUM environment. Thus, all acquisition and analysis techniques that run on the ZENNIUM-type workstation can be applied with the external potentiostat as well. The installation of one or more XPOT2 potentiostat will upgrade your ZENNIUM series potentiostat to an even more versatile multi-potentiostat system.

Stand-alone operation: The XPOT2 potentiostat can also be used in a stand-alone mode. In stand-alone mode the XPOT2 is controlled by the Zahner-Lab software (Installed in Windows®-PC). In this case they provide the methods Test Sampling as well as U- and I-curves vs. time. The XPOT2 can also work as a LabView® Virtual Instrument under the LabView® software.

The Zahner's power potentiostats can be incorporated in a python lab environment and can be used as stand-alone or in multi-channel configurations. Zahner's python repository is available for developing the python program.
